At oodle, we believe great design should do more than look good. It should help people discover new places, learn something interesting, and connect with the communities around them.
That’s why we’re proud to work with councils, charities, visitor attractions, and community organisations across the UK.
Encouraging People to Explore
One of our favourite projects has been our ongoing work with West Lindsey District Council.
Working alongside Visitor Economy Officer Faye Pudney, we helped develop the GoExplore tourism brand, designed to encourage residents and visitors to discover the Lincolnshire Wolds and surrounding areas. The project included the creation of the Hidden Gems walking guide series, visitor maps, promotional posters, and village information boards installed throughout the district.
These materials help visitors uncover local walking routes, heritage attractions, and independent businesses, turning a simple day out into a richer experience.
As Faye put it:
“oodle were amazing – nothing was too much of a challenge. The leaflet turned out better than I imagined.”

Supporting Local Authority Communications
Alongside tourism projects, we regularly support councils with large-scale public communications.
Our work with North East Lincolnshire Council has seen us design and produce Walking and Cycling Guides, Garden Waste communications, and a range of campaign materials. We’ve also managed the sourcing and production of promotional items including notebooks, badges, lanyards, and event materials to support community initiatives and engagement programmes.
The challenge with public sector communications is always the same: making important information clear, accessible, and engaging for residents. That’s where thoughtful design makes all the difference.

Making Learning More Engaging
We love projects that help people discover something new.
For Lincoln Zoo (Woodside Wildlife Park), we created educational interpretation panels, visitor information boards, and promotional materials designed to enhance the visitor experience. The aim was to make information about animal species, habitats, and conservation programmes accessible and engaging for visitors of all ages.
Likewise, our partnership with Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust saw us redesign a series of five trail leaflets for Gibraltar Point.
The original trails were already popular with education officers, but grant funding provided an opportunity to completely refresh the materials. We developed a new visual style across the leaflet series, improving usability, strengthening brand consistency, and creating a more engaging experience for visitors exploring the reserve.

Bringing Community Ideas to Life
Some of the most rewarding projects begin with a simple idea.
The Caistor Tree Trail started with inspiration from local school children and grew into a community-wide educational initiative. Working alongside arboriculture consultant Dan Kendall, we designed a 20-page self-guided trail booklet that takes visitors around the historic market town of Caistor.
The guide highlights 27 different tree species, combining maps, identification tips, fascinating facts, folklore, and ecological information. To support the launch, we also created promotional posters and social media assets as part of the Great Big Green Week celebrations.
The result was a resource that encourages people to explore their local area while learning more about the natural world around them.

Design That Delivers More
Whether we’re creating a tourism campaign, an educational trail, public information materials, or visitor signage, our goal remains the same: helping organisations communicate clearly and creatively.
From the GoExplore walking guides and Gibraltar Point trail leaflets to interpretation panels, resident communications, and community campaigns, we’re proud to create design that helps people explore, learn, and connect.
And we’re always excited to see where the next project takes us.
