Technology today is very different from what many of us imagined as kids. We do not have flying cars or hoverboards like we thought we might, but we do have AI built into just about all the software we use. From Adobe and Figma to specialist platforms like Gemini and ChatGPT, AI in design is now part of everyday creative work.
AI can feel like a daunting topic for people working in creative fields. For many, the fear is that when AI is used to create an image, a designer loses their wings, or worse, their job. But that mindset is starting to shift.
As our view of AI in design changes, the way we use it changes too. AI is not an evil robot waiting to take over our designs. It is an artificial assistant that helps support the creative process, not replace it.
At oodle, we use AI in design across different parts of our workflow, from upscaling images to turning quick brainstorm ideas into visual demonstrations and even checking spelling and grammar on large documents.
Using AI allows us to explore different visual routes in minutes. But the final decision making, ethical oversight and brand storytelling still sit firmly with us oodlers.
While AI can help with smaller tasks, we remain focused on the high-level strategy, emotional resonance and creative direction that make design truly effective. These are the areas where human intuition still leads the way.
Ultimately, AI in design acts as an assistant, helping us work faster and explore more possibilities. But the core of our work remains deeply human.
We are proud of every project we complete, and we do not see AI as something that will replace us. We see it as something that helps us do what we do best.
